Description

DaLinkUp originated as a project from JST Design that I was tasked to develop. The goal of the project was to allow event coordinators to plan an event. They could then stream the event using UStream directly. Another important feature of the website was an asynchronous chat system.

Process

PHP was used for main system components such as user registration, event creation, and chat logging. MySQL was used for basic data management. JQuery was used to develop the public chat system.

The entire design process relied on client input to ensure the best development path.

Achievement

This project introduced me to JQuery and its several advantages in client-side web scripting. This project also highlighted the importance of clients in the design process of a project.
